Take Better Photos, Earn More Guests!

Great photos create more revenue.

Your photos are your first impression.

Get them wrong and no one clicks on your listing. That means all of your fantastic hosting expertise goes to waste.

Worse still, mediocre photos undermine potential guest’s trust in you as a host. Unfair as it may be, they ask themselves: “What else might this host be missing? Will they be responsive? Reliable?"

Get them right and you not only have their attention, you’ve earned their trust. When the viewer sees that you've nailed this crucial aspect, they'll see you as a top-notch host in other ways too.

Blaming bad photos on smartphones is just a lazy excuse.

Our course doesn't require expensive gear - because it’s never been about the tool, it’s about knowing how to use it. No one blames bad paintings on cheap brushes.

Here’s a gallery to prove our point, we dare you to spot the smartphone photos (hint: there are 24 smartphone photos out of 35):

Smartphone vs. DSLR gallery

- Joanne Bourke, Director at Bach Break, New Zealand

"To say that great photos of your space are valuable is an understatement. They’re the first thing prospective guests look at when considering a property on Airbnb and what will eventually make or break their decision to book your space."

Kati Greene

I'm an editor turned photographer and I specialize vacation rental photography: http://www.katigreenephotography.com

In my previous life, I honed my “eye” for recognizing and creating attractive images, working as a video editor and colorist in Hollywood on projects for clients like Fox, Disney, and HGTV.

As a photographer, I wanted to be able to help every host with their listing photos, so Brian and I created this course. I have taken everything that you MIGHT benefit from knowing about photography, and distilled it down to the 20% that you NEED to know. And luckily, that 20% can be taught in just a few hours; everything from choosing what to photograph, how to do it, and creating an attractive listing sequence.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does the course start and finish?
The course starts now and never ends! It is a completely self-paced online course - you decide when you start and when you finish.
How long do I have access to the course?
How does lifetime access sound? After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course for as long as you like - across any and all devices you own.
Do good photos really make that big a difference?
Yep. One study showed an increase in bookings of 98% from one year to the next, just from the photos being improved. And every single listing company, big and small, agree that photos are a key factor in getting bookings. Not only do great photos better represent a rental, they instill a sense of trust in the viewer - this host has put extra effort into their photos, they've thought about this from the guest's perspective - "I'll be in good hands with them". In our case, we have NEVER stayed at a vacation rental with bad photos. We actually moved to Montana for a year JUST because of the photos of this one cabin in the woods.
I'm not sure I'll have time for this...
We hear you. Running a small business is a never-ending to-do list. We have one too. Here’s the thing, though: NOT ALL TASKS ARE EQUAL. Some need to be super high priority, because other tasks are irrelevant if the first ones aren’t done right. A sky-diving checklist might have A) pack parachute, B) bring snacks for after, but B becomes irrelevant if you screw up A, right? We have designed this course to require a maximum of 8-10 hours of your time. That includes Kati’s video instruction, preparation (both thinking time, as well as staging), the actual photo session(s) and editing. Some of you may be able to do it in as few as 5 hours or less.
Will this work for a really small place?
Absolutely. The course covers how to photograph small rooms, as well as what to highlight if your entire rental is really tiny, like a small studio apartment.
I don't want my photos to be unrealistic and disappoint guests...
Neither do we! While the course covers techniques for how to make a room look big and how to edit your photos etc, we do it all without distorting reality. We simply try to match what the human eye can see, nothing more. So there's no need for super wide-angle photos that distort a room and ridiculous editing that defies real-world colors. Your photos won't disappoint! If you're making your photos look 'bad' or 'worse than reality' on purpose, thinking you don't want to disappoint guests, you'll just end up losing them altogether. No one wants to book a place thinking "well I hope it'll look better in person..."
